Jeffrey Alan Moeggenberg, 49, died August 11, 2008 after battling melanoma cancer. Jeff was diagnosed with malignant Melanoma in November 2007, 10 years after beating an initial diagnosis. The cancer spread to his brain and adrenal glands, bringing his courageous fight to an end. Born on February 18, 1959, Jeff worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years, most recently serving as a property insurance executive for American International Group, Inc.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jane Hansard Moeggenberg; his three daughters, Leslie Wojcik and her husband Mike of North Wales, Pa., Shannon Moeggenberg of Buford, Ga., and Barbara Moeggenberg of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Nola Moeggenberg of Hartwell, Ga.; and his brothers, Kevin Moeggenberg of Peachtree City, Ga. and Barry Moeggenberg of Clayton, Ga. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Rod Moeggenberg.
