Gregory Scott Maur

leafOur beloved son, Gregory, discovered a mole on his shoulder in 2001. He had surgery to remove it and it was diagnosed as melanoma. Then, after a short time, he went to have more invasive surgery done around the mole that was removed. Four and a half years later, he had a tumor removed from the lymph node area under his arm and was told that the melanoma had metastasized. Gregory went to the Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh, PA,  and the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland for numerous treatments and several clinical trials with no success. He was then accepted as a patient to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas,  and was waiting to be admitted. Sadly time ran out due to his health deteriorating.

There is no greater love than a parent has for her child and no greater heartache than losing that child. Gregory was a loving, caring and thoughtful son. We miss him dearly and he will live in our hearts forever. Our lives have changed forever. Until we can be together again he is in the hands of Jesus. Gregory was 39 years old.
